UL Solutions seeks a Senior Field Evaluation Engineer to independently manage field evaluation projects, develop UL requirements and test methods for complex products. Travel is frequent, with on-site inspections and collaboration with clients and authorities having jurisdiction.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree.
• Eight years of directly related field evaluation experience.
• Expert knowledge of NEC, Building Codes and conformity standards.
• Experience applying project-handling concepts to complex products.
• Ability to travel frequently and work on-site as needed.

Responsibilities

• Independently determines project scope and plan of investigation with frequent on-site evaluations.
• Initiates communication with clients and AHJs to discuss requirements and deadlines.
• Responds to client concerns and resolves complex issues.
• Provides technical assistance to clients on product evaluations and plans review.
• Represents UL at meetings and presents on code and certification topics.
• Plans, conducts and supervises major code and regulatory projects.
