Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to join our security team in Connecticut. You will implement and maintain DLP and DSPM solutions, help refine data protection policies, and collaborate with senior engineers on projects across on-prem and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on DLP tooling experience, cloud skills (GCP, AWS, Azure), scripting (Python, PowerShell), and knowledge of HITRUST/NIST/PCI/HIPAA. This on-site role requires strong teamwork and adaptability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years with Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
• 5+ years in Information Security and Systems Analysis
• 5+ years deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software
• 5+ years creating and managing DLP policies
• 3+ years with at least two modern programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell)
• 3+ years designing and providing architectural support for two cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge of HITRUST CSF, NIST 800-83, PCI, HIPAA, HITECH, COBIT, ISO 27001/2, ITIL 3

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain components of the data protection infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments
• Collaborate on designing and implementing data protection solutions following best practices
• Configure and maintain data protection policies across platforms
• Troubleshoot and resolve data protection incidents with root-cause analysis
• Contribute to projects with testing, implementation, and documentation
• Use PowerShell and Python to automate deployment and maintenance of data protection software
• Collaborate with team members to expand knowledge in data protection technologies
• Stay current with data protection technologies, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements
