Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to implement and maintain our data protection infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments (GCP/AWS/Azure). You will deploy DLP, DSPM, and de-identification solutions, configure policies, and troubleshoot incidents while collaborating with senior engineers to uphold security standards.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention.
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis.
• 5 years of deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software.
• 5 years of experience with creating and managing DLP policies.
• 3 years of experience with at least two modern programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, BASH, PowerShell).
• 3 years of experience with designing and providing architectural support to cloud providers (GCP, AWS or Azure).
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of HITRUST CSF, NIST 800-83 cyber security framework, PCI, HIPAA, HITECH, COBIT, ISO 27001/2, and ITIL v3.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Computer Science or related field.
• 5 years of Information Security, Governance, Risk and/or Compliance, Information Technology or Business Analysis with at least 3 years of hands-on Engineering principles.
• Master's degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Computer Science or related field.
• Advanced cloud certification in GCP, AWS or Azure (e.g. Professional Cloud Architect/Security Engineer)

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain components of the data protection infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Deploy and configure DLP, DSPM, and data de-identification solutions.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions per best practices and business needs.
• Configure and maintain data protection policies across platforms, including sensitive data types and detection tuning.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents, perform root cause analysis, and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Assist with testing, implementation, and documentation; participate in project meetings.
• Develop automation with PowerShell and Python to improve deployment and maintenance of data protection software.
• Stay current with data protection technologies and evolving compliance requirements.
