Job summary

Jade Global, Inc. is seeking a Senior Backup Architect/Engineer to lead design, evaluation, and migration of enterprise backup and data protection across on‑premises and cloud environments.

You will define policies, retention, RPO/RTO targets, and data lifecycle strategies while presenting formal recommendations to Senior Leadership. The role requires 10+ years in backup engineering, deep platform expertise, and governance aligned with SOX/HIPAA.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise backup and data protection engineering.
• Two or more of the listed backup platforms with migration experience at enterprise scale.
• Strong requirements gathering, gap analysis, and formal solution documentation.
• Experience presenting strategies to Director/VP/C-suite audiences.
• Understanding of cloud backup in AWS/Azure/GCP and DR testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement backup and data protection across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Define backup policies, retention, RPO/RTO and data lifecycle management.
• Lead end-to-end migrations with runbooks, test plans, and rollback procedures.
• Documentation: ADRs, design docs, migration plans, executive decks.
• Governance: backup standards, SLAs, and compliance controls.
