Job summary

Humana is seeking a Senior Storage Engineer (L3) to design, implement, and optimize enterprise backup, recovery, and data protection across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.

You will lead architecture, governance, automation, and vendor collaboration, handling IBM, Rubrik, Commvault, and cloud-native solutions while driving resiliency and security.

This remote role requires strong scripting, project leadership, and the ability to partner with security, cloud, and application teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of enterprise backup, storage, or data protection experience.
• Experience with IBM Storage Protect, Defender Data Protect, Commvault, Rubrik, Dell PPDM.
• Strong scripting and automation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise backup and recovery architectures.
• Engineer scalable backup solutions across physical, virtual, cloud, and SaaS environments.
• Develop standards, runbooks, and engineering documentation.
• Lead platform upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
• Establish recovery SLAs and testing standards.
