Job summary
The Senior Storage Engineer at Humana designs, implements and maintains enterprise backup, recovery and data protection solutions across on‑premises, cloud and hybrid environments. You will drive architecture, automation and governance for scalable, secure storage platforms including IBM, Rubrik, Commvault and related technologies.
You will guide cyber resilience efforts, participate in governance, and partner with security, cloud and application teams to ensure recoverability and compliance
Qualifications
- 7+ years of enterprise backup, storage, or data protection experience.
- Experience with one or more enterprise backup platforms: IBM Storage Protect, IBM Storage Defender Data Protect, Commvault, Rubrik, Dell PPDM.
- Strong understanding of enterprise storage technologies and infrastructure.
- Experience with VMware, Windows, Linux and cloud platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise backup and recovery architectures.
- Engineer scalable, resilient backup solutions across physical, virtual, cloud, SaaS, and containerized environments.
- Develop and maintain backup standards, recovery procedures, runbooks, and documentation.
- Lead platform upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
- Define recovery objectives, testing standards, and service levels.
