Job summary

SMX Services & Consulting, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Developer with hands-on Remedy or BMC Helix ITSM experience to support complex billing, invoicing, and financial workflow processes.

You will troubleshoot failed billing transactions, improve workflow configurations, and help stabilize critical processes related to fiscal close activities. Qualifications

• Three to five years of hands-on experience developing and configuring Remedy or BMC Helix ITSM.
• Experience supporting billing workflows, invoicing processes, or related financial system functionality.
• Strong troubleshooting involving chartfields, financial data structures, and custom workflow failures.
• Experience integrating Remedy or BMC Helix ITSM with ERP systems.
• Ability to investigate failed workflow tasks, determine root causes, and reprocess transactions.
• Experience updating billing logic, automation rules, and workflow configurations.
• Experience supporting fiscal year-end activities, billing-rate updates, or financial close processes.
• Experience developing or modifying dashboards in Remedy or BMC Helix ITSM.
• Experience with databases and office tools; strong documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and maintain Remedy or BMC Helix ITSM workflows.
• Troubleshoot billing, invoicing, and financial workflow failures.
• Analyze failed tasks, find root causes, and reprocess from start to end.
• Support ERP integrations with Remedy or BMC Helix ITSM.
• Work with financial data structures and chartfield configurations.
• Update billing logic, automation rules, and workflow configurations.
• Support fiscal year-end preparation and financial close-out activities.
• Develop or modify dashboards in Remedy or BMC Helix ITSM.
• Test changes and confirm updated workflows operate correctly.
• Document configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Provide knowledge transfer to internal team.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.
