Job summary
Truist seeks a senior leader to drive Availability & Reliability Engineering, shaping strategic roadmaps and leading a software engineering team toward highly reliable systems. This role partners across engineering, infrastructure, cloud, and architecture groups to deliver resilient technology solutions.
You will mentor managers and senior engineers, cultivate a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and translate executive priorities into actionable plans that enhance platform
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software development, with significant leadership experience.
- Advanced management and leadership experience leading teams.
- Developing expertise and knowledge of software architecture, development lifecycle, and technology strategy.
Responsibilities
- Translates strategies into executable roadmaps for a small to midsized engineering team.
- Manages lower-level managers and experienced ICs delivering software on time and to scope.
- Applies and improves technology standards and governance practices.
- Provides data and feedback to senior leadership on team performance and opportunities for improvement.
- Develops and coaches managers and senior ICs, fostering a collaborative engineering culture.
- Leads process, tooling, and system improvements to increase delivery reliability.
- Ensures risk management and compliance within the team’s scope.
