Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation seeks a Sr. Availability & Reliability Engineering Manager to lead a software team, shaping roadmaps and ensuring timely delivery of resilient systems for the CTO.

You will drive observability, tooling, and automation, coaching managers and engineers, and partnering with cloud, infrastructure, and architecture teams to reduce incident response times and improve platform health. This role emphasizes accountability, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in software development with significant leadership experience.
• Advanced management experience leading engineering teams.
• Knowledge of software architecture, SDLC, and technology strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead a software engineering team to translate strategies into clear objectives and priorities.
• Manage lower-level managers and ICs responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying software.
• Improve processes, governance, and engineering methods within the team.
• Provide data and feedback to senior leadership on performance and improvements.
• Develop and coach managers and senior ICs, fostering accountability and collaboration.
• Lead tooling, observability, and automation improvements to enhance reliability and delivery.
