Job summary

Cenovus Toledo Refinery is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer with broad experience across downstream facilities and a focus on reliability implementation, troubleshooting, and operations. You will lead initiatives for equipment classes such as pumps, compressors, motors, and control systems while coordinating with discipline engineers to address reliability risks and asset strategies.

Qualifications

8+ years of engineering experience in an operating refinery or chemical plant.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field required.
Knowledge of industry standards and reliability best practices.

Responsibilities

Improve availability from a mechanical and I&E standpoint and perform root cause analysis.
Develop unit reliability road maps and long-term plans for units.
Lead the bad actor program with data analysis and recommendations.
Analyze data to support operations and maintenance decisions.
Create obsolescence and long-range plans for reliability improvements.
Utilize reliability tools like Risk Based Maintenance with discipline engineers.
Justify defect elimination micro projects for reliability/availability improvements.
Align asset strategies with site targets and maintenance plans.
