Job summary

Allegiance Refining, LLC in San Antonio, TX, seeks a Maintenance & Reliability Manager to lead the refinery's maintenance organization, own the maintenance budget, and drive reliability improvements across rotating equipment, piping, and process systems.

You will oversee planning, scheduling, QA/QC, spare parts strategy, and reliability modeling using Newton platform, with a focus on PSM, risk-based inspection, and turning data into actionable decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or closely related technical discipline.
10+ years of progressive experience in maintenance, reliability, or engineering within refining, petrochemical, or heavy process manufacturing.
Direct supervisory or management experience (3+ years).
Experience with CMMS/EAM systems and reliability data; budgeting and cost control.

Responsibilities

Lead the maintenance organization to deliver process safety, personnel safety, environmental, reliability, and cost objectives.
Own work management end to end—identification, prioritization, planning, scheduling, execution, and close-out.
Drive schedule compliance, wrench time, backlog health, and rework reduction through metrics and root cause analysis.
Direct QA/QC of repairs; maintain job plans, repair procedures, and craft work standards.
Manage spare parts strategy, critical spares inventory, and vendor/contractor performance.
Use Newton platform to model reliability and manage asset risk across the site.
Validate model accuracy and keep data current through site MOC processes.
Own KPI reporting for reliability, availability, PM compliance, and cost avoidance.
