Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a staff-level reliability engineer to oversee semiconductor reliability across NTI/NPI to mass production. You will collaborate with internal teams, Korea HQ, customers, and Fab to drive reliability engineering for advanced CMOS nodes.

You will lead reliability evaluations, design experiments, apply statistical models, and document findings for journals and conferences, helping to push technology development in reliability.

Qualifications

• MS, PhD in Engineering or Physics (preferred Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering).
• Requires 5+ years of related experience in semiconductor process, product or device engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to direct a team for reliability improvement activities.
• Identify, plan, and execute reliability evaluations for NTI/NPI, technology qualification, process changes and abnormal events.
• Manage solutions to integration problems working across several departments to improve reliability.
• Design, execute, and analyze designed experiments to improve semiconductor fabrication processes.
• Utilize lessons learned to improve reliability margin; define new process integration for new technology nodes.
• Utilize statistical tools and reliability models to extract lifetime from time to fail data.
• Represent Samsung technology leadership by authoring papers for symposiums & journals and leadership roles at external conferences.
• Navigate both the industrial and academic landscape to be a knowledge center of device integration and technology development for reliability.
• Example of Reliability Degradation Mechanisms: TDDB, HCI, BTI, EM, SM, TC.
