Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is hiring a full-time Manufacturing Quality & Reliability Engineer to qualify new semiconductor products from development through mass production. You will drive NPI readiness, lead technical reviews, and monitor data to close gaps before mass production.

The role emphasizes RCCA, quality improvements, and cross-site collaboration with Korea teams to ensure robust qualification and ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Mathematics or related field.
• Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies: SPC, FMEA, DOE, 8D problem-solving, and statistical analysis.
• Working knowledge of process integration, yield and/or various fab processes (i.e., thin films deposition, lithography, etch, diffusion).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute qualification of new semiconductor products and technologies from development through mass production.
• Lead review board meetings and communicate technical information to senior leadership.
• Review and monitor data for gaps to support products prior to mass production using statistical analysis.
• Develop risk assessment tools and enhance procedures for introducing new technology nodes or products.
• Drive fab-wide efforts to enhance defense lines and develop data analysis scripts/dashboards to monitor quality KPIs.
• Collaborate with teams in Korea to benchmark and implement quality improvement activities.
