Job summary

Humana is seeking a Lead Release Train Engineer to serve as the servant leader and coach for a complex Agile Release Train (ART). You will enable SAFe adoption, coach Scrum Masters and Product Owners, and partner with business and technology leaders to drive value delivery and continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes advanced Agile practices, orchestration of PI planning, and removal of impediments across multiple teams to ensure program success and predictable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 7+ years related experience including 5+ years as Scrum Master, Agile Coach, RTE, or similar leadership role.
• Extensive SAFe experience leading Agile Release Trains.
• Current SAFe RTE/SPC or comparable certification.
• Advanced knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean-Agile).
• Experience influencing senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and serve as servant leader for a complex ART, upholding SAFe principles.
• Lead ART events: PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt.
• Ensure PI Planning readiness through exploration, roadmapping, backlog refinement.
• Coach and mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Lean-Agile practices.
• Partner with Product Management and others to align strategy with execution.
• Identify and resolve program-level dependencies, risks, and impediments.
• Drive continuous improvement via Inspect & Adapt and improvement initiatives.
• Promote collaboration across teams, architects, and business stakeholders.
• Use Agile metrics and dashboards to assess ART performance and health.
• Support value streams and Agile delivery maturity across the org.
• Foster Communities of Practice and built-in quality practices.
