Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead the Agile Release Train and enable delivery of strategic initiatives. You will coordinate program execution, align teams to enterprise priorities, manage dependencies and risks, and drive continuous improvement across the ART.

You will partner with Product, Architecture, and Delivery teams, coaching Lean-Agile practices and enabling adoption of tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
• 12+ years delivering program management, agile delivery, or transformation leadership.
• 4+ years of people management experience.
• Experience leading Scrum Masters and Outside Service Workers.
• Proven ability to build and retain high-performing agile teams.
• 5+ years supporting Agile Release Trains or large-scale agile delivery.
• Strong knowledge of SAFe, Lean-Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methods.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, Power BI, and enterprise reporting.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and executive stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate Agile Release Train ceremonies (PI Planning, ART Syncs, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt).
• Drive execution of cross-functional initiatives aligned with strategic goals.
• Align portfolio priorities, roadmaps, capacity, and delivery execution.
• Proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies, and impediments; escalate when needed.
• Provide executive-ready reporting on program health, PI objectives, delivery, and value realization.
• Partner with Product Management, Architecture, and Delivery Teams for alignment and transparency.
• Foster Lean-Agile practices and continuous improvement across the ART.
• Enable adoption of Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, Power BI for delivery reporting.
• Support enterprise transformation through coaching and change enablement.
