Job summary

McKesson seeks a seasoned Release Train Engineer (RTE) in Irving, TX to lead Agile Release Trains delivering strategic initiatives. You will coordinate PI planning, manage risks, and provide executive reporting to align delivery with enterprise priorities.

Required 12+ years in program management with SAFe/Agile mastery, strong facilitation, and cross-team leadership. MS/PMO experience preferred; base pay ranges reflect this senior leadership role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in Program Management or Agile Delivery.
• 4+ years of people management experience.
• Leadership experience managing Scrum Masters and Outside Service Workers.
• 5+ years supporting Agile Release Trains or large-scale Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate ART ceremonies including PI Planning, ART Syncs, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt events.
• Drive execution of cross-functional initiatives aligned with strategic objectives and transformation goals.
• Ensure alignment between portfolio priorities, roadmaps, capacity, and delivery execution.
• Proactively manage program risks, issues, dependencies, and impediments with escalation as needed.
• Provide executive-ready reporting on program health, PI objectives, delivery predictability, capacity, risks, and value realization.
• Partner with Product Management, Architecture, Portfolio Management, and Delivery Teams for alignment and transparency.
• Foster Lean-Agile practices, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the ART.
• Enable adoption of Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, and Power BI.
• Support enterprise transformation through Agile coaching and change enablement.
