Aurora in San Francisco, CA seeks a Staff Technical Program Manager (Release Management) to lead end-to-end release operations, drive automation, and scale release governance for safety-critical software across vehicle and software platforms.

This senior IC role blends tactical execution with strategic architecture, requiring strong collaboration with engineering, safety, hardware and test teams, and a commitment to predictable, auditable releases.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on release experience in complex environments.
• Experience with safety-critical standards (ISO 26262, DO-178C, ISO 13485).
• Hands-on CI/CD with Buildkite and GitHub Actions; monorepo builds with Bazel.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end release cycle and cadence across platforms.
• Coordinate release readiness across engineering, safety, hardware and test ops.
• Automate release workflows and apply AI/ML for triage and anomaly detection.
• Architect and maintain automated Release Gates for compliance evidence.
• Govern concurrent release branches across customers and hardware configurations.
• Ensure auditable releases with version control and safety compliance.
