Aurora is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager (Release Management) to lead end-to-end release operations for a safety-critical autonomous mobility platform. You will coordinate across engineering, safety, hardware, and test teams to drive scalable release cadence and automation.

This senior IC role focuses on predictive prevention, automated gating, and auditable compliance while maintaining a strong safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• 7+ Years of Hands-On Release Experience
• Safety-Critical Domain Expertise: ISO 26262/DO-178C/ISO 13485 in automotive, aerospace, medical or robotics
• Tactical Build & CI/CD Execution with Buildkite, GitHub Actions, Bazel
• Complex Branching & Daily Triage across multiple platforms
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Governance across engineering, safety, hardware, test operations
• Customer & Team Support Mindset with occasional evening/weekend coverage
• Travel Requirement: to Mountain View, CA; Texas or Pittsburgh, PA as needed

Responsibilities

• Lead Day-to-Day Release Operations & Cadence: end-to-end release cycle, release train schedules, branch cut-offs, triage, hotfix deployments
• Cross-Functional Coordination & Release Communication: hub for release readiness, align across teams, dashboards
• Drive Predictive Prevention & Release Automation: automate workflows, apply AI/ML for triage/classification
• Establish Data-Driven Release Gating: automated gates with structured data for compliance
• Manage High-Scale Branching & Change Control: concurrent branches across customers and configurations
• Ensure Safety-First Rigor & Auditable Compliance: documentation, version control, auditability
