Job summary

Level is seeking an organized Senior Release Manager to join our Online & Platform team in Austin. You will serve as the connective tissue between product, engineering, design, content, and QA to ship learning technology on time and with quality.

You will own release calendars, define gates, coordinate ceremonies, and proactively surface blockers. This role requires strong cross-functional skills, agile experience, and excellent communication to keep stakeholders aligned and informed.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of release management or production coordination for digital products.
• Proven experience owning a release calendar or production schedule across multiple workstreams.
• Strong cross-functional coordination skills across engineers, designers, product, and QA.
• Comfortable in an Agile/Scrum environment; ability to facilitate sprint ceremonies or release reviews.
• Proficiency with project management tools (Jira, Asana, Monday.com or similar).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; translate updates for stakeholders clearly.
• Track record of identifying risks early and solving blockers before they derail releases.
• High organizational bandwidth handling multiple concurrent projects.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the release calendar across online and platform products.
• Define release gates and launch readiness checklists with product and engineering leads.
• Track feature completion, QA sign-off, and stakeholder approvals against milestones.
• Communicate release schedules and changes clearly across the organization.
• Serve as central coordination point between product, engineering, design, curriculum, and QA.
• Run release ceremonies including go/no-go calls and post-launch retrospectives.
• Surface blockers, dependencies, and risks before they derail a release.
• Provide clear status updates with no surprises to stakeholders.
