Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) seeks a Senior Relay Technician to serve as technical lead for protection and control systems. You will conduct advanced testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and manage projects on substation and industrial systems, while mentoring field personnel and interfacing with customers.

Responsibilities include safety leadership, developing procedures, and delivering test results and commissioning documentation to meet customer and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment drug screen required for safety-sensitive role.
• Background check conducted for employment eligibility.
• Willingness to work overtime and travel out of town.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain safe driving record.
• Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, testing & repairing protective relays in transmission, generation, or distribution substations.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety briefings and enforce safety policies on job sites.
• Analyze protection schemes across transmission, distribution, and industrial systems.
• Install, commission, test, and validate substation relay panels and breakers.
• Perform advanced end-to-end and functional testing using relay test equipment/software.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to field personnel and interface with customers.
