Job summary

ICF is seeking a seasoned power engineering professional to develop relay settings and protection philosophies for distribution equipment, while modeling electrical systems using advanced simulation tools. The role includes remote field support and mentoring junior engineers to strengthen power system fundamentals.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience, a BS in Engineering, and a PE license; familiarity with IEC 61850 or Schweitzer relays is highly valued.

Qualifications

Requires a BS in Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in developing relay settings for transmission or distribution equipment.
A Professional Engineering license and experience with IEC 61850 or Schweitzer relays are preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop relay settings and protection philosophies for distribution equipment and model electrical systems using simulation programs.
Provide remote field support to test engineers and mentor junior staff in power engineering principles.
