Job summary

Northern Trust in Boston seeks a Senior Relationship Manager to lead a portfolio of sophisticated institutional securities lending clients, delivering strategic solutions and strengthening relationships.

You will educate clients on market developments and regulatory changes, collaborate with internal teams to enhance service quality, and drive opportunities across products and pricing to grow profitability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of financial services experience, including at least 5 years in securities lending, trust, asset servicing, custody, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of securities lending products, borrower and collateral structures, and industry practices.
  • Understanding financial markets, investment management, and portfolio management concepts.
  • Proven experience managing complex institutional client relationships.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, relationship management, and business development skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, solve complex problems, and manage multiple priorities in a client-focused environment.

Senior Relationship Manager, Securities Lending

Job Description Summary

Securities Lending at Northern Trust helps institutional investors generate additional revenue from their investment portfolios by lending securities to approved market participants. As a Senior Relationship Manager, you will lead a portfolio of complex institutional clients, serving as a trusted advisor while delivering strategic solutions, enhancing the client experience, and identifying opportunities to deepen client relationships.

Major Duties
  • Manage and expand relationships with complex institutional securities lending clients.

Salary Range: $114,700 - 194,900 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay.
