Busey Bank, Tolono Branch, is seeking a Relationship Banker II to blend teller and personal banking duties with advanced customer service and sales expertise. You will help customers with a wide range of financial needs while building lasting relationships in a busy branch.

The role emphasizes cross-selling, guidance on financial products, and accurate handling of accounts, loans, and digital tools. Prior banking experience and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 2 years of banking experience with lending responsibilities required.
• 1 year of training and/or combination of mentorship, military or management experience required.
• Under SAFE Act, Relationship Bankers lending must maintain active NMLS registration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Serve as a trusted point of contact for customers and provide the highest level of service.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive outreach.
• Provide guidance on financial products and services to meet customer needs.
• Actively identify and promote bank products and services.
• Meet and exceed monthly sales and referral goals.
• Open and manage personal and business accounts accurately.
• Assist with transfers and check orders; support online banking.
• Process loan applications and coordinate with loan officers for approvals.
• Balance cash drawer and ensure accurate transactions.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and escalate as needed.
• Mentor newer staff and share knowledge on products and procedures.
• Support branch opening/closing tasks and overall operations.
