Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in Shelton, CT is seeking an Area Manager in Business Banking to lead a team of Business Relationship Managers, developing new deposits, cash management, and credit opportunities while focusing on relationship-building and risk management.

You will coach and develop the team, manage area revenue and profitability, and collaborate with partners across lines of business to deliver One Chase client-centric solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a Business Banking Relationship Management role or related business lending.
• Expert knowledge of deposit and cash management products and services and expert knowledge of business credit underwriting.
• Strong communication skills with individuals at all levels, internally and externally.
• Ability to analyze reports, metrics, and data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Proven ability to build collaborative relationships across the organization and lead through change.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for key meetings and training.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to BRMs in developing deposits, cash management, and credit opportunities while focusing on client experience and risk management.
• Manage performance of team members and ensure achievement of business priorities with emphasis on client experience and risk control.
• Oversee the area’s revenue and profitability and monitor credit quality, regulatory requirements, and risk protocols using metrics to address issues.
• Coach and develop the team on portfolio management, loan structuring, pricing, and tailored solutions for clients.
• Connect clients with specialists to meet their personal and business financial goals.
• Collaborate with partners across Chase Wealth Management, Home Lending, Branch Teams, Commercial Bank, and Private Bank to deliver One Chase client-centric services.
