Job summary

Navitus Health Solutions, LLC is seeking a Staff Attorney to assist the Chief Legal Officer and Assistant General Counsel, Regulatory, drafting legal documents and templates, managing records, and conducting research under limited supervision.

You will promote Navitus’ values in CQI activities, advise on legal implications of business objectives, and maintain contracts and filings. A law degree and Wisconsin license are preferred, with about five years of legal experience expected.

• Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.

Responsibilities

• Staff Attorney will assist the Chief Legal Officer and Assistant General Counsel, Regulatory, and draft legal documents and templates, manage document templates and corporate legal records, perform records and legal research and prepare correspondence under limited supervision.
• Imparts the philosophy, values, mission and vision of Navitus and SSM Health and facilitates the integration of values in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities.
• Prepares additional legal documents, such as memorandums and correspondence.
• Inform the development of new Navitus initiatives from a legal perspective and provide guidance on legal issues that help shape the organization’s direction and impact as a whole.
• Provides legal counsel to Navitus’ staff members on the implications of their business objectives and ensure that all of Navitus’ staff are informed of applicable policies and practices.
• Researches and analyzes statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, contracts, and legal codes.
• Files legal documents and correspondence in digital and physical filing systems.
• Develops processes for the effective indexing and filing of legal documents and managing contracts.

Education

Juris Doctor or equivalent

Wisconsin license preferred
