Job summary

Sound Transit is seeking an experienced leader to manage and execute the agency’s regulatory code compliance framework for its capital program, facilities, and service modes within an assigned corridor. The role mentors project managers, oversees multi-jurisdictional permitting, and influences policy to reduce delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a field such as Project Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or Public Policy.
• Five years of progressive experience in complex regulatory processes for construction, land use, and environmental regulation compliance.
• Three years of leadership, budgeting, planning, and workforce management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and day-to-day management of the corridor permitting project management team.
• Manages strategic permitting and regulatory policy recommendations to senior Sound Transit management.
• Leads complex permitting and regulatory issues across project life cycle in assigned corridor.
• Develops and negotiates regulatory strategies with third-party agencies and coordinates with ST-Legal.
