Job summary

Sound Transit seeks a senior environmental professional to lead due diligence, remediation strategies and environmental compliance for Sound Transit projects, including rail and transit facilities. You will manage consultants, contracts, budgets, and schedules while coordinating with agencies and property teams to ensure regulatory adherence.

The role requires a strong background in MTCA/CERCLA, ISMS development, and mentoring staff in environmental matters within a large transit organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience in environmental due diligence and remediation.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
• Experience overseeing environmental site assessments and remediation cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental due diligence documentation for Sound Transit projects to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee environmental consultants, contracts, scopes, budgets and schedules.
• Lead remediation planning and environmental compliance across projects and facilities.
• Coordinate with agencies and real property staff on environmental issues.
