Job summary

Pattern Energy in the United States is seeking a senior regulatory affairs specialist to lead market analysis and strategy across WECC, MISO, ERCOT, SPP, PJM and other priority markets. The role coordinates with external affairs, fundamentals, origination, and finance to translate policy changes into business impacts.

You will draft comments, engage regulators, and work with consultants and internal SMEs to advance Pattern’s positions.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years related commercial experience in electric public utility regulation or wholesale markets.
• Experience with interconnection rules, open access tariffs, and wholesale energy market design.
• Previous work in renewable energy generation, storage, transmission, or electricity policy.

Responsibilities

• Supports regulatory and market affairs coverage and advocacy across WECC, MISO, ERCOT, SPP, PJM and emerging markets; coordinate positions for regulatory and market affairs discipline.
• Maintains relationships with decision makers in PUCs, RTOs/ISOs and other forums.
• Identifies market-specific policies and regulations to support greenfield projects and growth strategies.
• Coordinates with consultants and internal SMEs to identify and shape Pattern’s regulatory positions.
• Drafts and submits comments advancing Pattern’s positions in relevant dockets and forums.
