Job summary

Pattern Energy seeks an experienced Manager of Environmental Compliance & Strategy to lead construction permit compliance for wind, transmission, and solar projects across the United States and Canada, coordinating with EPC teams, regulators, and contractors to ensure permits and programs meet regulatory requirements.

This role requires a science degree and 7+ years in environmental or energy projects, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science-related field required.
• Seven+ years of experience in environmental, natural resources, or energy-related projects.
• Experience with wind, transmission, and/or solar permitting and environmental compliance.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and provincial environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental construction permit compliance activities with project teams and contractors.
• Manage environmental personnel and regulatory interactions as appropriate.
• Conduct compliance reviews, site audits, and root-cause analyses.
• Develop and implement environmental programs and project execution documents.
• Create and update project environmental compliance matrices during execution.
• Deliver Environmental Awareness Training for EPC and contractor staff.
• Coordinate with regulatory leads to resolve environmental concerns during construction.
• Budget for and manage consultants providing environmental support services.
• Represent Pattern in industry groups and technical committees.
