Job summary

Pattern Energy seeks an experienced Manager, Environmental Compliance & Strategy, EPC to lead regulatory and environmental permit compliance for wind, transmission, and solar projects in the United States and Canada. The role collaborates with internal teams, consultants, regulators, and local groups to ensure compliance and risk management throughout project execution.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of environmental, natural resources, or energy project experience.
• Experience with wind, transmission, and/or solar permitting and environmental compliance.
• Familiarity with federal, state, provincial environmental regulations (stormwater, wildlife, hazardous materials, air quality).
• Experience coordinating cross-functional project teams and managing environmental consultants/contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental construction permit compliance activities with EPC and project teams.
• Coordinate project environmental personnel, consultants, and regulators as appropriate.
• Conduct environmental compliance reviews, audits, and root-cause analyses.
• Develop and implement environmental compliance programs, procedures, and documents.
• Create and update project environmental compliance matrices during execution.
• Deliver Environmental Awareness Training for EPC and contractor staff.
• Collaborate with agency leads to resolve environmental concerns during construction.
• Budget and manage consultants for project-level environmental support and wildlife mitigation.
