Job summary

Amazon seeks an experienced Senior Regional Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to partner with regional operations to implement WHS policies and ensure compliance with local, regional and federal regulations. You will lead a team of safety professionals and drive continuous improvement using lean principles and Kaizens.

You will train leadership, build trust with cross-functional teams, analyze safety data, and communicate clear directions while advancing safety standards at multiple FC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 7+ years in safety/environmental programs.
• 7+ years in people and performance management.
• Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• Willingness to relocate to designated region.
• Must obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 3 weeks of start date.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME of local/regional regulations and company WHS policy.
• Provide guidance to ensure compliance to all WHS Policies.
• Measure regions’ and sites’ performance against WHS requirements.
• Ensure WHS recordkeeping and data integrity with reporting.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and Kaizens for safety.
• Develop and mentor FC WHS Manager and WHS Associates.
• Engage at fulfillment centers for input on program improvements.
• Lead tissue injury reduction efforts in partnership with Operations.
