Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Site Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to partner with site operations, implement WHS policies, and ensure compliance with local regulations. You will lead safety improvements, deliver risk assessments, and train leaders in EHS policies to raise the bar on workplace safety.

You will build and mentor a team of safety professionals, drive Kaizen events, monitor metrics, and present findings to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 7+ years of safety/environmental program leadership in manufacturing or production.
• Experience leading lean and Kaizen initiatives.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME of local/regional regulations and company WHS policy.
• Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable safety policies.
• Measure site performance against published requirements in safety policies and fix deficiencies.
• Ensure safety record keeping and data integrity and provide operating with accurate reporting and metrics.
• Deliver on-time and quality projects to Operations.
• Deep dive safety metrics and review incident trends to justify resource allocation.
• Audit record keeping and Global Safety Database entries for compliance.
• Audit workplace organization and training methods for accuracy and consistency.
• Manage and mentor Safety Managers and Safety Associates on site.
• Engage IPS and Site Leadership to drive long-term safety actions.
• Perform targeted Kaizen events with Operations teams.
