Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Regional Workplace Health and Safety Manager to partner with regional operations and execute WHS policies, ensuring compliance with local, regional and federal regulations. You will lead a team, drive lean improvements, and train leaders in EHS standards across sites.

Develop leadership plans, assess safety talent, and ensure ongoing communication of progress. The role requires strong risk assessment, data analysis skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in safety/environmental programs in manufacturing, production, service operations, or relevant experience.
• 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management.
• Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• Office within one of the designated region's sites and willingness to relocate if not in region.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as required to support direct reports and site needs.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME of local/regional regulations and company WHS policy.
• Provide guidance to ensure compliance with WHS policies.
• Measure regions/sites’ performance against WHS requirements and fix deficiencies.
• Ensure WHS recordkeeping and data integrity with accurate reporting and metrics.
• Lead safety improvement Kaizens with Operations teams.
• Train and mentor FC WHS Managers and Associates.
• Spend time at fulfillment centers to collect input and drive improvement.
• Partner with corporate and regional WHS to share best practices.
