Job summary

The Tsui Group is seeking a Senior Regional Construction Scheduler for an educational client in Los Angeles County. This role reports to the Sr Construction Manager for Scheduling and Estimating and involves updating reports for management to meet KPIs.

You will supervise schedulers, review baselines, conduct QA/QC, and perform time impact analyses, critical path, and earned value assessments across complex education projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of full-time paid professional experience in Construction Scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor, preferably in an educational facility or public works projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera Latest Version and MS Office Suite.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.
• Or Bachelor’s degree in any course, but with additional two (2) years of experience in the duties above to compensate for the required education.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Superior organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to build efficient working relationships with project teams and department staff.
• Understanding of theories, principles and practices of cost engineering, scheduling and schedule forensics

Responsibilities

• Prepare updates and reports for upper management to meet KPIs.
• Supervise Project Schedulers and interface with OARs, Senior Project Managers and site staff.
• Develop and maintain program schedules identifying relationships, milestones, and constraints.
• Interpret and read detailed construction drawings to understand work scope.
• Review Contractor’s Baseline schedules for proper sequencing and provide comments.
• Perform QA/QC on contractor schedule submittals and analyze critical path and resources.
• Conduct schedule time impact analyses and negotiate delay settlements.
• Read drawings to determine scope, and interpret contract terms for time extensions.
• Perform Critical Path and Earned Value analyses.
• Walk sites and report progress to OAR and management.
• Communicate schedule/progress in meetings.
• Perform program schedule QA/QC reviews and bi-monthly status updates.
• Prepare reports as directed by Management
