Job summary

CMTS, LLC in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Senior Regional Construction Scheduler to oversee program-level scheduling for large-capital projects. You will supervise schedulers and ensure schedules are accurate, compliant, and aligned with project goals.

You will apply advanced Primavera P6 skills, coordinate with project teams and stakeholders, perform schedule QA/QC, and provide timely reports to leadership. This on-site role demands strong communication and organizational abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• OR Bachelor’s degree in any field with an additional two years of construction scheduling experience.
• Minimum ten years of full-time professional experience in construction scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor.
• Experience with educational facilities or public works projects preferred.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 (latest version) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
• Ability to build strong working relationships with project teams and stakeholders.
• Understanding of cost engineering principles, scheduling methodologies, and schedule forensics.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Senior Construction Manager for Scheduling and Estimating and provide schedule-related reports to leadership.
• Supervise Project Schedulers and coordinate with OARs, Senior Project Managers, and contractors.
• Interpret construction drawings to define project scope and sequencing.
• Review contractor baseline schedules for completeness, logic, milestones, and critical path accuracy.
• Analyze cost loading and provide detailed written schedule review comments based on LAUSD standards.
• Review monthly schedule updates and document schedule slippage and overall performance.
• Perform schedule QA/QC reviews to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Conduct Time Impact Analysis (TIA) using windows analysis and forensic scheduling techniques.
• Evaluate contract scope and determine entitlement for time extensions.
• Communicate schedule risks and progress updates during project meetings.
• Develop and maintain program-level schedules including logic, constraints, and milestones.
• Perform regular schedule QA/QC updates and ensure data integrity across program systems.
• Prepare reports for senior management.
• Conduct site visits and monitor contractor schedule performance.
