Job summary

First Mid Bank & Trust is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician III to oversee regional facility operations in Urbana, IL. The role covers building, grounds, and equipment maintenance, safety compliance, and vendor contract management to keep facilities safe and efficient. Occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 5+ years of facilities maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement all aspects of facility management.
• Coordinate, supervise and implement space planning projects.
• Participate in renovation and remodeling projects.
• Respond to maintenance requests, troubleshoot and fix issues.
• Determine maintenance equipment, supplies and materials.
• Ensure facilities and equipment meet needs of the organization, employees and customers.
• Provide training to staff on maintenance topics.
• Supervise evacuations and ensure compliance with building and fire regulations.
• Communicate with branch managers and staff to meet needs.
• Oversee facilities vendor performance and service agreements.
• Develop methods to reduce occupancy costs.
• Make recommendations for Capital Expenditure items.
• Manage excess furniture inventory.
• Provide fleet management for corporate vehicles.
• Travel throughout the assigned region.
• Accept other duties.
