Job summary

First Mid Bancshares, Inc. is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician III to oversee regional facilities, grounds, and equipment. You will ensure safety, asset integrity, and operational efficiency across the region, managing maintenance contracts and coordinating renovations.

Role requires travel across the region and the ability to lead maintenance teams, troubleshoot issues, procure materials, and support the Facilities department in delivering excellent service to employees and customers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• 5+ years of facilities maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement all aspects of facility management.
• Provide/perform coordination, supervision and implementation of space planning projects.
• Participate in assigned renovation and remodeling projects.
• Respond to maintenance requests by assessing the concerns, troubleshooting as necessary, recommending solutions and taking action as required.
• Determine maintenance equipment, supplies and construction materials needed in the delivery of maintenance services.
• Ensure facilities and equipment are in good working order and meet the needs of the organization, employees and customers.
• Provide technical or maintenance specific training to staff members.
• Supervise, enforce, conduct and train staff in emergency evacuations and ensure compliance with building and fire regulations.
• Communicate with branch/department managers and staff to ensure facilities, equipment and purchasing needs are appropriately met.
• Oversee facilities vendor performance to ensure service agreements are met.
• Develop methods of reducing occupancy costs without sacrificing program and/or maintenance objectives.
• Make recommendations for Capital Expenditure items for the assigned region.
• Prepare, manage and maintain the excess furniture inventory in all storage locations. Recommend re-deployment opportunities.
• Provide fleet management services for corporate vehicles.
• Travel is required throughout the assigned region.
• Accept other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
