Job summary

GROWMARK, headquartered in Bloomington, Illinois, seeks a Building Maintenance Technician to ensure a safe and comfortable work environment by maintaining and operating the office building’s systems, equipment, safety and appearance.

Under supervision, you will inspect HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems; perform preventative maintenance; handle basic repairs; coordinate with contractors; ensure compliance with codes and safety policies; and support general janitorial duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in building maintenance, repair work, or related fields.
• HVAC certification preferred; strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems to identify maintenance needs.
• Perform preventative maintenance and keep maintenance records.
• Replace light bulbs and repair basic fixtures or furniture.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems including switches and outlets.
• Maintain and repair HVAC systems.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized tasks.
• Monitor safety equipment and conduct safety drills.
• Perform janitorial duties as needed.
• Maintain building systems such as elevators and access control.
