Job summary

Americold is seeking an Industrial Refrigeration Maintenance Technician to support warehouse operations in Alabama. You will perform routine maintenance, repair, and adjustment of refrigeration systems to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Responsibilities include monitoring performance, replacing components, testing and calibrating equipment, and keeping preventive maintenance records. A GED or high school diploma and 2+ years of refrigeration experience with relevant certifications are required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 2 years of industrial refrigeration maintenance experience OR 3 years industrial maintenance plus relevant certification such as RETA, Garden City, or EPA Universal.
Successful completion of assigned industrial refrigeration and maintenance courses required.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair differing control systems including ALTA and Allen Bradley.
Required to complete HAZMAT training and maintain certification.

Responsibilities

Operate, repair, and adjust refrigeration systems throughout the warehouse.
Monitor system performance and identify issues.
Replace components following lockout/tagout procedures and program standards.
Perform pump-out and evacuate refrigerant for valve replacement or repair.
Perform routine maintenance on warehouse equipment per OSHA standards.
Test, calibrate, and evaluate equipment performance and inspect work for safety and specifications.
Inspect completed work for compliance with blueprints, specifications, and safety standards.
Maintain accurate preventive maintenance records and keep work areas clean and organized.
Work flexible shifts, including on-call.
