Job summary

Americold is seeking a maintenance technician to support refrigeration operations within a warehouse environment. Under general supervision, you will perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting to ensure reliability and safety of industrial systems.

The role requires experience in refrigeration or HVAC/R, strong maintenance skills, and ability to work flexible shifts, including on-call. OSHA-compliant practices and safe operation are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years refrigeration or maintenance experience OR HVAC/R certification or technical degree.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must complete industrial refrigeration or mechanical-electrical courses.
• Must complete HAZMAT training and maintain certification.
• Basic computer skills for email, internet searches, and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Operate and repair refrigeration systems.
• Monitor performance and identify issues.
• Perform routine maintenance on warehouse equipment per OSHA standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment and recommend corrective actions.
• Test and evaluate equipment performance with appropriate instruments.
• Maintain tools and machinery in good condition and ensure proper use.
• Maintain accurate preventive maintenance records and uphold housekeeping standards in the work area.
• Adaptability to flexible shifts including on-call assignments.
• Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.
