Job summary

Americold is seeking a skilled refrigeration maintenance technician to perform routine maintenance, repair, and calibration of warehouse cooling systems. You will monitor performance, replace components, and ensure safety with strict lockout/tagout procedures.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of industrial refrigeration maintenance (or 3 years with RETA/Garden City/EPA Universal), and HAZMAT training with Oracle CMMS experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years minimum in industrial refrigeration maintenance or 3 years industrial maintenance with RETA, Garden City, or EPA Universal certification.
• Completion of relevant industrial refrigeration and maintenance courses.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair different control systems including ALTA and Allen Bradley.
• HAZMAT training and certification; experience using Oracle CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Perform operation, repair, and adjustment of refrigeration systems throughout the warehouse.
• Monitor system performance and determine when systems are not operating correctly.
• Replace refrigeration system components following lockout/tagout procedures and program standards.
• Conduct basic pump out and evacuate refrigerant as necessary for valve replacement or repair.
• Perform routine maintenance on warehouse equipment in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Test, calibrate, and evaluate equipment performance and inspect completed work for compliance with specifications and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate preventive maintenance records and ensure work areas are clean and organized.
• Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.
