Job summary

Americold Logistics, LLC. in Fayetteville, AR is seeking an experienced industrial refrigeration technician to maintain and repair ammonia systems while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The role supports continuous warehouse operations and requires the ability to supervise contractors and train junior staff.

You will contribute to root-cause analysis, preventive maintenance, and documentation, aligning with OSHA standards and our cold-chain excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of industrial refrigeration maintenance experience including ammonia refrigeration.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of industrial refrigeration and maintenance courses.
• HAZMAT training and certification required.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing control systems such as ALTA and Allen-Bradley.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Responsibilities

• Define and set up operational settings and parameters for all refrigeration equipment.
• Monitor system performance and take actions to ensure optimal operation.
• Troubleshoot refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and control systems to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Replace components within refrigeration systems following safe lockout/tagout procedures and safety program requirements.
• Perform routine and complex maintenance and repairs on various warehouse equipment in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Oversee and inspect work of internal and external technicians for compliance and quality control and assist in training and development of less experienced technicians.
• Maintain accurate preventive and predictive maintenance records and participate in operational excellence initiatives.
• Inspect and review "in progress" and "completed" work of internal and external technicians for compliance and quality control.
