Job summary

Americold Logistics, LLC. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform general maintenance and repair throughout the warehouse. You will troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, lift trucks, refrigeration and related systems in a high-volume cold storage environment.

Applicants should have 4+ years of maintenance experience, four RETA courses, and HAZMAT training. The role may require nights/weekends and physical work in cold temperatures.

Qualifications

• 4+ years maintenance mechanic experience.
• Must have completed four RETA courses.
• Must have completed HAZMAT responder training.

Responsibilities

• Performs repair and adjustment of refrigeration systems, doors, dock boards, pallet racks, sweepers, sprinkler systems, forklifts, pallet trucks, and electrical work per OSHA standards.
• Inspects equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA and operational standards.
• Tests and maintains equipment performance using voltmeters, ohmmeters, pyrometers and pressure gauges.
• Calibrates HVAC equipment and maintains tools and machinery.
• Maintains batteries, chargers and safety equipment; conducts tests to ensure OHSA/operational standards.
• Keeps preventive maintenance records and responds to security alarms as needed.
• Works nights and weekends; lifts up to 50 pounds; climbs ladders and accesses elevated platforms.
