Job summary

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) National Recruitment Division seeks a second-line supervisor to lead strategic recruitment initiatives. The role supports the Director of NRD in planning, policy development, and cross-agency collaboration to meet hiring goals across CBP.

Responsibilities include directing a NRD branch, prioritizing objectives, and coordinating with HRM, TMD, and program offices. Location is negotiable within listed CBP duty locations.

Qualifications

• 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-13).
• Experience interpreting federal HR laws, regulations, policies to advise managers on recruitment-related issues.
• Experience coordinating recruitment with internal and external stakeholders to support mission objectives.

Responsibilities

• Establish overall program and managerial objectives for CBP's NRD recruitment branch.
• Develop long-range recruitment plans and identify required resources.
• Serve as NRD's advocate, policy expert, and liaison to CBP HRM and TMD on recruitment initiatives.
• Manage a NRD branch, setting priorities and production standards.
