Job summary

Mercury is seeking a Senior Recruiter to own end-to-end recruiting for Infosecurity, Compliance, Risk, and Data Governance professionals. You will partner with leaders to define roles, design interview processes, and build pipelines for niche tech and analytics talent.

You'll source across data science, security, and financial services while ensuring inclusive hiring and strong candidate experience. This role requires adaptability, ownership, and collaboration with senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Have 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience and 5+ years in talent/HR-equivalent functions.
• Have track record of hiring for technical or quantitative roles in compliance analytics, data science, information security, or related functions.
• Have direct fintech or financial services compliance/risk recruiting experience with regulatory understanding.
• Able to learn technical concepts and translate complex requirements into sourcing/assessment strategies.
• Willing to cover engineering searches when needed, with prior engineering recruiting a plus.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders, influencing decisions, and acting as trusted advisor.
• Strong sourcing/networking skills for niche, emerging, or confidential roles.
• Enjoy solving problems, navigating ambiguity, and balancing priorities across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting for technical and analytical roles across Risk, Compliance Data Modeling, and Information Security.
• Develop deep understanding of Mercury's products, business, and regulatory environment to align hiring with business needs.
• Partner with hiring managers to define success and design thoughtful interview processes.
• Build targeted sourcing strategies for niche talent pools across data science, analytics, security, and financial services.
• Serve as strategic advisor using talent mapping, market insights, and recruiting data to inform decisions.
• Build relationships with candidates and communicate Mercury's impact with a compelling story.
• Champion inclusive hiring and guide interview teams toward evidence-based decisions.
• Lead recruiting for new/ evolving roles, bringing structure to ambiguous searches.
• Use data to identify bottlenecks and improve pipelines, outcomes, and candidate experience.
• Flex across teams as business priorities shift with curiosity, urgency, and care.
