Job description

Join to apply for the Senior Recruiter role at Pape-Dawson.

This position will be responsible for full-cycle recruiting across multiple offices and for various levels within the organization. It is a key role within the Talent Management division and offers the opportunity to be the first point of contact with the Pape-Dawson culture.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the full life-cycle recruiting process: identify, recruit, screen, recommend candidates, extend offers, and coordinate onboarding.
  • Enhance the Pape-Dawson Engineers brand by establishing a strong employer reputation both internally and externally.
  • Create and publish job postings for current and new openings.
  • Source candidates using traditional methods (career fairs, campus interviews, job boards) and non-traditional methods (social media, employee referrals).
  • Build relationships with candidates through industry contacts, associations, trade groups, and events.
  • Review applicant qualifications to assess fit for open roles.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to evaluate recruitment effectiveness, especially for hard-to-fill positions.
  • Coordinate with Marketing to promote the company brand to potential candidates and employees.
  • Communicate job expectations, compensation, and benefits effectively to candidates.
  • Manage recruitment activities within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and maintain recruitment reports.
  • Ensure recruitment compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 7 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in the AEC industry.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with candidates and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of employment laws related to recruitment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and ATS management.
  • Willingness to travel overnight occasionally.
  • Availability to work from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime.
