Job summary

Intersect Healthcare of Big Rapids is seeking a Part Time Recreation Aide to support daily activities for residents. Hours are 10am-6:30pm during the week, and 8am-4:30pm every other weekend, with rotating weekends and holidays.

You will implement recreation programs, assist with calendars and newsletters, transport residents, supervise activities, and coordinate with the Recreation Director and volunteers. Prior experience with seniors and strong customer service are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Experience with senior groups preferred.
• Arts and crafts knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements recreation programs as scheduled and per the Monthly Calendar.
• Maintains participation records and charts in the system.
• Transports residents to and from programs and assists with community trips.
• Coordinates with Recreation Director and volunteers for program execution.
• Promotes resident engagement through one-to-one invitations and group activities.
• Adheres to HIPAA and safety policies and reports changes to the Recreation Director.
