Job summary

Intersect Healthcare in Michigan is seeking a Part-Time Recreation Aide to support residents by leading engaging activities aligned with the monthly calendar. You will encourage participation, provide prompts, and offer hands-on assistance to residents during group and one-on-one sessions.

The role emphasizes documenting participation, coordinating with the Recreation Director and nursing staff, and ensuring safety and positive experiences during activities and community trips.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a caregiving or activity setting.
• Ability to engage and support older adults in activities.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Comfort working with volunteers and staff across departments.
• Wlexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
• Basic computer skills for documenting activities.

Responsibilities

• Implements Recreation Programs in line with the monthly calendar and supervises sessions.
• Assists in updating the Recreation Calendar and facility communications.
• Reschedules programs with RD approval and updates the calendar accordingly.
• Executes One-on-One and Room Visit Programs and documents visits accurately.
• Maintains records of resident participation in group and one-on-one activities.
• Notifies RD of changes in residents’ needs or behavior to tailor activities.
