Job summary

Block is seeking a Senior Analyst for the Recon and Reporting team to own reconciliation and reporting workstreams end to end. You will translate complex needs into measurable metrics and automated solutions while coordinating with Engineering, Accounting, Treasury, and Compliance.

You will implement SQL-based reporting, drive data quality, and help optimize the flow of funds across networks and partners, with a focus on accuracy and timely financial insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years reconciliation, settlement, payments operations, accounting, or finance analytics with relevant degree.
• Expert-level SQL and automated reporting development experience.
• End-to-end ownership of reconciliation or financial reporting workstreams.
• Strong accounting principles and money movement knowledge.
• Partnering with data engineering to design and maintain data pipelines.
• Advanced Excel and familiarity with reconciliation tools and banking portals.

Responsibilities

• Independently design, develop, and deploy end-to-end reconciliation and reporting solutions.
• Own time-sensitive reconciliations across networks, banks, processors and ledgers.
• Translate business/Regulatory needs into metrics and dashboards; monitor SLA targets.
• Lead month-end close support for reconciliation and reporting activities.
• Define requirements and test plans for system changes; validate new processes with Eng and Data teams.
• Mentor other analysts and promote best practices in reconciliation and reporting.
