Job summary

Cupertino Global Consumer Devices is seeking a Senior Keynote Shader & Effects Engineer to own shader-driven visual effects for its animation engine. You will design, prototype, and ship high-performance shaders across silicon GPUs, collaborating with designers to realise creative direction.

The role emphasizes deep Metal experience, strong rendering knowledge, and the ability to translate concepts into production-quality shaders while keeping up with state-of-the-art graphics research.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to write highly performant realtime graphics shader code at 4K 60/120fps across silicon.
• Strong grasp of the realtime rendering pipeline: rasterization, compute, render passes, resource binding, and GPU/CPU synchronization.
• Translate high-level visual concepts into efficient shader implementations; own a subsystem end to end.
• Excellent communication skills; deep Metal experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designing, prototyping, and shipping new shader-driven visual effects for the Keynote animation engine.
• Collaborating with designers to translate creative direction into performant realtime effects.
• Writing and maintaining production-quality Metal shaders, optimized for silicon GPUs.
• Keeping up with the latest best practices in shader and realtime rendering research.
• Applying modern testing methodologies to a wide variety of effects across devices.
